Encourage and challenge

We promote the individual abilities and talents of our pupils in a qualified manner and challenge them to achieve outstanding results.
  • 1. we base our advice and support on the specific life situation of the pupils and their specific strengths and weaknesses during their time at school.

    • All future pupils and their parents are given advice on their school career before they start at the grammar school.
    • Twice a school year, advisory conferences are held by all subject teachers for all classes in years 5-9.
    • All teachers offer individualized activities in and out of the classroom to improve the performance and capabilities of each student.
    • All pupils are able to participate in the following:
      • Learning to learn (Year 5 and 6, as part of the LQ lesson and in subject lessons)
      • Remedial teaching in various subjects in subject groups I and II at different performance levels
      • Lunchtime supervision (13.10 -14.00, also in the 6th hour if required)
      • Homework supervision (Mon to Thu 14.00 - 15.30)
      • AGs
    • In addition, if required:
      • DaZ support
      • LRS support
      • Counseling sessions are held with students and their parents in the case of special learning difficulties or outstanding performance and an individual learning and support plan I or II is then drawn up.
      • School tutoring as part of homework supervision
      • Summer school offer (at the end of years 5/6/7/8) in the last two weeks of the summer vacation
      • Student coaching as support for learning and working behavior
      • Learning mentors in grades 8/9 for pupils in the trial level
      • If there is a special need, individual student coaching of 8-10 hours can be provided to enable students to improve their self-management (maximum 2-3 students per semester): Work based on the Zurich Resource Model: self-motivation, self-awareness, self-soothing, dealing with failure
